Samples come to you
We arrive with the cloth, and measure every window by hand.
II - We quote
One clear estimate
A firm price for the work described. No surprises, and no “from” prices that grow in the telling.
III - We make
Cut in our workroom
Everything is made to measure at our own bench, usually within four to six weeks. That’s the waiting. It’s worth it.
IV - We fit
A proper fit
We hang, dress and steam the work ourselves, and check every track, pull and cord before we leave.

Hand-sewn and made to measure for any window - bay, sash or floor-to-ceiling. Interlined, weighted, finished by hand.
Blinds
Roman, roller, Venetian and motorised - all bespoke, all fitted with safe cord heights as standard.
Shutters
Plantation and wooden shutters, built to fit your window - not cut down to nearly fit it.
Reupholstery and soft furnishings
Recover, restore, refresh. Favourite pieces rebuilt from the frame out, to last another lifetime.

Our story
Three generations of fine curtain making.
Havershams began forty years ago with our grandfather and one simple idea: make beautiful things that fit, and look after the people you make them for. Three generations on, the bench is busier than ever. The idea hasn’t changed.
The kind of job we love
The sofa that went up by crane.
An interior designer needed a corner sofa recovered - on the sixth floor, with no lift big enough to take it. So it went out through the window and up by crane, was recovered in fresh cloth at the workroom, and returned the same way: smooth, quiet, and exactly as specified.
